Brooklyn woman, 74, clings to life after being struck by car


A 74-year-old woman was fighting for her life Saturday after she was mowed down by a passing car in Brooklyn, police said.

The woman was crossing 14th Ave. and 39th St. in Borough Park about 4:30 p.m. Friday when the car rammed into her, police said.

EMS rushed her to Maimonides Medical Center where she was listed in critical condition.

The driver who struck her remained at the scene. No charges were immediately filed.
