The rescheduled game is now set to begin at 12:10 p.m. ET at Progressive Field, with the original game still slated to start at 6:10 p.m. as part of a split doubleheader.
Clarke Schmidt (0-0, 4.66 ERA) had been scheduled to pitch Friday night for the Yankees against Cleveland’s Carlos Carrasco (0-0, 4.50 ERA).
Luis Gil (0-0, 3.00 ERA) was in line to pitch Saturday against the Guardians’ Triston McKenzie (1-1, 4.00 ERA).
