Polarizing TikTok star Kyle Marisa Roth, who made a name for herself discussing celebrity goings-on and blind item gossip, has died. She was 36.
Roth died last week, according to her sister, Lindsay Roth, who announced the news on Instagram. Their mother, Jacquie Cohen Roth, and cousin Laura Feibelman also confirmed the news in their own posts. A cause of death has not yet been reported.
“As a family we are still processing and deciding how to properly celebrate and honor her life. we don’t know [what] happened yet,” said Lindsay. “I know she touched so many people with her humor, intelligence, beauty, gossip activism, athleticism and more – she had so many gifts.”
Lindsay noted that for those who want to “connect” about the late internet personality, she’s happy “to talk and share memories.” She also confirmed she would update followers about memorial services.
“I am so sorry to those learning about this loss right now. Any prayers thoughts blessings or intentions for this souls smooth transition are welcomed,” said Lindsay.
A “devastated” Julia Fox, best known for her breakout role in “Uncut Gems,” mourned Roth’s death in the comments section, remembering her as “a ray of sunshine.”
“I know I never met Kyle in real life, but I really felt like I knew her,” said Fox. “I really hope she [didn’t] suffer and I hope she knew how much she touched our lives. … I will miss her deeply.”
“My daughter Kyle has passed away. She touched some of your lives personally and some of your lives via her immense life on another platform. Kyle loved and lived fiercely,” Roth’s mother wrote on LinkedIn. “Nothing makes sense now and we’ll understand more in the next few days. Be kind to one another please.”
Roth’s main TikTok account had been removed from the platform last month, though she had posted from an alternate account as recently as April 7.
Roth “left too soon,” Feibelman wrote on Instagram, noting she was “full of life” and “dearly missed by many.”
