Aldi, Asda and Sainsbury’s shoppers have been warned not to consume certain food items due to safety concerns.
The supermarkets have removed some products from their shelves, advising customers against eating them as they could pose a health risk.
The Food Standards Agency has alerted people that some items sold in these supermarkets may not be safe for consumption.
If you’ve bought any of these products, you should return them to the store for a full refund.
Here are the details of several recent food recalls.
Aldi
Signature Flatbreads UK is recalling its Village Bakery tortilla wraps from Aldi stores because they might contain metal.
The recalled product is the Village Bakery 8 Tortilla Wraps White, which come in a pack of eight wraps weighing 62g each. All packs with a “best before” date up to and including April 29, 2024, are being recalled.
The Food Standards Agency suspects they may have been tampered with, as reported by the Daily Record.
Customers who have purchased these wraps have been urged not to eat them and instead, return them to Aldi for a full refund.
The Food Standards Agency website states: “Signature Flatbreads UK is taking the precautionary step of recalling Village Bakery 8 Tortilla Wraps White because of a possible presence of metal, as the product may have been tampered with.
