One man shot dead, another wounded at Brooklyn supportive housing complex


A man was shot dead and another wounded inside a supportive housing complex in Brooklyn early Friday morning, cops said.

A 3:23 a.m. 911 call led police to find the victims suffering gunshot wounds inside the lobby of the Stone House on Junius St. near Glenmore Ave. in Brownsville, according to police.

A 34-year-old man shot multiple times in the torso was taken to Brookdale Hospital where he died, cops said.

A 42-year-old victim shot once in the left thigh was rushed to Kings County Hospital where he is listed in stable condition, according to law enforcement.

The 160-unit Stone House opened in 2018 as the largest supportive housing complex in the state. Supportive housing offers affordable units and social services to the homeless or those at risk of becoming homeless.

Police are hunting a male suspect. No arrests have been made.
