Moped rider critically injured in crash on FDR Drive in Manhattan, snarls traffic

A moped driver was critically injured in a crash that snarled traffic on Manhattan’s FDR Drive on Sunday, police said.

The rider was zipping down the elevated southbound lanes of the highway when he crashed into a Honda Pilot near Rutgers St. just after 5 p.m., cops and sources said.

The man was riding with a crew of people on similar devices, sources said.

Medics rushed the driver to Bellevue Hospital, where he was in critical condition. The man driving the Honda refused medical attention after the crash.

After the crash, all southbound lanes of the FDR Drive were closed at the Brooklyn Bridge as police continued to investigate.
