Pete Alonso had himself a day on Saturday. Hours after homering in the Mets’ 7-6 loss to the Brewers, the first baseman joined country music star Zach Bryan on stage at UBS Arena.
Alonso was dancing and signing into the mic as many athletes have done with Bryan during his popular song ‘Revival’ to end his show. Giants’ quarterback Daniel Jones also has appeared on stage with Bryan multiple times over the past two years.
The 29-year-old was on stage for the entirety of the approximate 15-minute ending and received a nice ovation from the Long Island crowd as he was introduced.
Bryan sold out UBS Arena and had Alonso join him during the first of two nights for his ‘Quittin’ Time Tour,’ at UBS Arena after playing two nights at Barclays Center.
Alonso is entering his contract season and it hasn’t gotten off to the best start from a team perspective. The Mets are 0-2 and will try and fend off the Brewers Sunday afternoon from being swept at Citi Field during their Opening Series.
A contract extension appears unlikely as the first baseman will play out this season with the possibility of it being his last as a Met.
