Man assaults 3-month-old son during East Harlem domestic brawl

A 51-year-old man attacked his young wife and their 3-month-old son during a clash on an East Harlem street early Thursday, leaving the baby hospitalized, cops said.

The young mom struck and stabbed her husband with a broomstick as she fought him off during the midnight fight near E. 101st St. and First Ave., according to 1010 WINS.

Cops found the man suffering from stab wounds and bruises to his leg and buttocks, officials said.

They quickly determined he had attacked his wife and child, who were still nearby.

The infant had suffered wounds to his back, neck and leg, cops said. His mom had a deep cut to her right arm.

The woman was holding the baby when her husband attacked them, cops said.

Medics rushed the baby to New York-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell where he was treated for minor injuries. The baby’s mother was treated at the scene.

The child’s father was also taken to the same hospital in stable condition. Charges against him were pending.
