Luke Littler treats girlfriend and mates after moving step closer to £275,000 prize

Luke Littler took his girlfriend and mates to Blackpool Pleasure Beach after winning his fourth Premier League Darts night of the year and securing a place in the play-offs. The 17-year-old is a step closer to the £275,000 cash prize for the competition’s winner, to be decided later this month at The O2 in London.

Littler previously claimed that he would take his friends to the theme park after the World Darts Championship when he became an overnight sensation. His girlfriend Eloise Milburn’s recent social media post has proved that the teenager is true to his word, sharing a post of the two of them on the ICON ride.

Other snaps saw the darts star and Milburn alongside their friends on Saturday, describing their trip to Blackpool as a “Good little day out”. Littler similarly posted to his Instagram story and said: “Good day out.”

In January, riding the crest of a wave after reaching the World Championship final, Littler was asked by talkSPORT how he planned to spend his winnings. He explained that a trip to Blackpool would be one of the options, revelling in his success after another victory in Aberdeen.

“All my friends are watching at home,” Littler explained at Alexandra Palace. “We’ve always said we need to go Blackpool Pleasure Beach or Alton Towers so I think they will be looking at me like ‘you’re paying, Luke’ and I’ll be like, ‘yeah, okay!’”

It is the second time in two weeks that Littler and Milburn have made the journey to Blackpool, having shared that he was “soaked” from riding on Valhalla. They were all smiles at the park, with the teen able to relax and enjoy a healthy lead in the Premier League.

His four nightly wins can only be matched by Michael van Gerwen, stretching his advantage over second-placed Luke Humphries by eight points with two more nights remaining before the play-offs on May 23.

In his debut season, Littler has won more matches than any other player and can look forward to the final two nights of the campaign knowing that he can play with freedom in Leeds and Sheffield.

“I can just play with a free throw now that I’m through. I’ll play to win but if it’s not to be, it’s all about getting ready for London,” Littler told Sky Sports.

After another Littler trip to Blackpool, Pleasure Beach Resort CEO Amanda Thompson OBE revealed her delight at having such a high-profile repeat customer: “We’re so pleased that Luke has become a regular guest of ours. It’s nice to know that we can be a place of relaxation and fun for him – he deserves it! Hope to see you back again soon.”
