Long-running daytime show ‘The Talk’ ending with season 15

“The Talk” will take its final bow at the end of this year.

The Emmy-winning daytime talk show was renewed Friday for what CBS said will be its 15th and final season — albeit a shorter one, culminating in a “proper sendoff” in December, multiple outlets report.

“‘The Talk’ broke new ground when it launched 14 years ago by returning daytime talk to CBS with a refreshing and award-winning format,” read a statement from the network. “Throughout the years, it has been a key program on CBS’ top rated daytime line-up as it brought timely, important and entertaining topics and discussions into living rooms around the globe.”

The statement also gave a nod to hosts of past and present, the latter of which includes Akbar Gbajabiamila, Amanda Kloots, Natalie Morales, Jerry O’Connell and Sheryl Underwood.

“For the final season, we plan to celebrate the show and give it the proper sendoff it deserves when it concludes in December 2024,” CBS said.

The series, which was pitched by and previously featured “Roseanne” star Sara Gilbert, debuted in 2010. The actress, who also stars on “Roseanne” spinoff “The Conners,” made her exit in 2019, citing the need for a better work-life balance.

Notable former hosts have included Sharon Osbourne, Leah Remini, Marie Osmond and Eve.
