Headless body found floating in NYC’s Jamaica Bay: NYPD

Cops are investigating the death of a man whose headless corpse was found floating in Jamaica Bay, cops said Saturday.

Police were called to the water off of the Joseph P. Addabbo Memorial Bridge that links Broad Channel to Howard Beach about 8:45 p.m. Friday, where they found the body floating near 165th St. and Cross Bay Blvd.

The victim’s head was severed at the neck, cops said.

A rope was also found on the body, a police source with knowledge of the case said. It wasn’t immediately clear if the victim had been tied down or if he had hung himself before his head became detached from the body.
