Gaming Realms profits jump after record year for Slingo games

Gaming Realms, a mobile games developer, is celebrating a 47 percent increase in yearly profits having achieved record sales due to further worldwide releases of its Slingo franchise.

The group, which manages and circulates Slingo games across the globe, reported pre-tax profits of £5.2 million for 2023, up from £3.5 million in 2022.

Their revenues leaped 26 percent to £23.4 million within the year.

Last year, the company’s content licensing sales boosted by 26 percent in North America, primarily driven by more states legalising online gaming; elsewhere, growth skyrocketed by 33 percent.

The firm claimed a “promising start” to 2024, with a sales increase of 20 percent for the first two months compared to last year.

The group envisions further growth in 2024 as they expand globally, already adding 14 new partners this year to operate their games, including Livescore and DAZN in the UK, Bet365 in Ontario and Entain in Spain.

They have also launched three new Slingo games this year: Slingo Hot Roll and China Shores Slingo.

Mark Segal, the CEO of Gaming Realms, stated: “We are now licensing our games into 20 regulated markets and have launched with 44 partners in the year and have 75 live games which demonstrates the scale of our content licensing business.”

He said looking forward: “With this momentum, we are excited to continue delivering further game launches, new partner deals and, with planned launches in West Virginia and Greece, expanding our global footprint even further.”

The company also launched lots of new games in 2023, like Slingo Cleopatra with the big gambling company IGT. They worked together with famous video game brands too, making games like Slingo Space Invaders and Tetris Slingo.
