Donald Trump is selling special-edition Bibles that include copies of the Declaration of Independence and the Pledge of Allegiance and come as ex-president faces mounting legal bills from his ongoing court cases.
The “God Bless the USA Bible” being offered for $59.99 was announced Tuesday in a video he posted on his Truth Social platform.
“All Americans need a Bible in their home, and I have many. It’s my favorite book,” Trump, 77, said in the video. “I’m proud to endorse and encourage you to get this Bible. We must make America pray again.”
The “God Bless the USA ” title comes from country singer Lee Greenwood’s tune that’s played at each Trump rally as he takes the stage.
On the product website, the book is advertised as “Easy-to-read” with “large print” and a “slim design” — “the only Bible endorsed by President Trump!”
The venture comes as the presumptive 2024 Republican presidential nominee continues to battle four criminal cases and numerous civil charges.
As his legal costs mount, Trump’s pursued a variety of commercial partnerships. He introduced a line of Trump-branded sneakers last month, including a $399 pair of gold “Never Surrender High-Tops.”
45Footwear, the company behind the venture, also sells Trump-branded cologne and perfume.
In recent years, Trump has also published books featuring photos of his time as president, and has reportedly earned somewhere between $100,000 and $1 million from his venture selling NFT trading cards that featured images of him in different costumes.
