Titled Myths and Mortals, the new season has a Greek Mythology theme, adding new skins such as Zeus, Cerberus, Hades, Artemis and Poseidon. An Avatar Korro skin will be available to unlock later in the season.
Other new features include the Thunderbolt of Zeus ability, which lets players rise into the air and hurl lightning bolts at the opposition.
That’s on top of the Wings of Icarus, which gives users the ability to soar through the skies and divebomb enemies.
Other new weapons include the Harbinger SMG, Gatekeeper Shotgun, Huntress DMRs, and Warforged Assault Rifle.
Returning weapons include the Hammer Pump Shotgun, Frenzy Auto Shotgun, Nemesis AR, Thunder Burst SMG, Reaper Sniper Rifle and Ranger Pistol.
Elsewhere, players will be able to explore locations such as Mount Olympus and The Underworld.
Epic Games has also made a selection of bug fixes and gameplay tweaks.
Unfortunately, however, the new Fortnite season isn’t expected to start until around 10pm GMT UK time on March 8.
