A driver struck and killed a 10-year-old girl in Brooklyn on Tuesday, police said.
The girl was hit at the intersection of Wythe Avenue and Wallabout St. in Williamsburg just after 2:40 p.m., according to cops.
When police arrived, they found her suffering from severe body trauma in the roadway.
Medics rushed her to The Brooklyn Hospital Center, but she could not be saved.
The 62-year-old driver stayed on the scene as police continued to investigate the tragic crash later Monday afternoon.
The girl’s name was not immediately released.
