On Tuesday morning, Piers Morgan and Matt Hancock were involved in a fierce exchange regarding how the Health Secretary has awarded contracts during the coronavirus pandemic. Mr Morgan attempted to press Gavin Williamson on Mr Hancock’s decision but the Education Secretary shut down the Good Morning Britain host.
Mr Morgan asked: Are you sorry you acted unlawfully yes or no?
The Education Secretary replied: “The Government would never act unlawfully.”
Mr Morgan interjected: “You did and you were found guilty of it, are you sorry?”
“Why do you guys find it so hard Education Secretary?”
GMB co-host Susanna Reid said: “Just say we broke the law and we are sorry.”
Mr Willaimson responded: “You had Matt, all day yesterday Piers, I would have thought you would have covered that with him.”
