AN American Air Force base in Ohio was placed on lockdown Thursday evening and an active shooter was being pursued.
Wright-Patterson Air Force Base confirmed that at shortly before 9:30pm “emergency responders” arrived the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) to search for “an active shooter.”
“Security Forces are currently sweeping the building,” according to base officials.
“The base is on lockdown.”
The building they are searching is No. 856, which is located in the NASIC area of the base, WHIO reports.
