Woman slashed by stranger on subway in latest unprovoked NYC attack

A 22-year-old woman was slashed by a stranger on a Queens subway train, police said Thursday, the latest in a string of unprovoked attacks to rattle the city.

The attacker approached the victim on a Manhattan-bound E train as it neared the Queens Plaza station and slashed her left leg with a sharp object about 11:40 p.m. Friday, cops said.

He ran off the train without having said a word and has not been caught.

The stunned victim stayed on the train, exiting at Manhattan’s Lexington Ave.-E. 53rd St. station. She called police and medics took her to New York-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell in stable condition.
