How to clean windows
Posting in a Mrs Hinch Facebook group, a woman asked for tips on cleaning her windows.
The social media user simply wrote: “Best tips for cleaning windows please? [SIC]”
The post soon gathered more than 100 comments as other homeowners flocked to give their best advice.
Although there are plenty of cleaning products dedicated to window cleaning available to buy, many homeowners stated this was not necessary.
In fact, simply using vinegar could be enough to get rid of marks and leave windows streak-free.
Another said: “I spray down the window first with white vinegar, lemon juice and water mix. Sparkling and streak-free. [SIC]”
Many homeowners agreed using vinegar and water can help remove stains and leave a window sparkling clean.
This could be a cheaper alternative to buying certain cleaning products.
Buffing with newspapers was also a cheap way many suggested finishing off the job.
