Last month, I sat in City Hall listening to Randy Mastro obfuscate and deflect questions about his record — especially during his time serving under former Mayor Rudy Giuliani. Mastro was less disrespectful than his last appearance at a Council hearing a decade ago on behalf of Cablevision, but he remained dismissive of questioning by Council members about Giuliani-era policies that impacted Black and Brown New Yorkers.
