Who can see my Census data?

Modern censuses take place every decade, information from which is safeguarded by data collection agencies.

They do not keep information people could use to identify people living in the households surveyed, meaning no-one can see individual census data.

Names and dates of birth only allow agencies to cross people off their list of homes contacted.

The Government does not handle census data, but statistics authorities follow Government rules.
