AN emotionally disturbed homeless man set fire to the Fox News All-American Christmas tree in Fox Square on December 8, 2021.
A replacement tree is being installed in the area as a result of the incident.
When is the Fox News Christmas tree lighting ceremony?
The new Fox News All-American Christmas tree is being rebuilt and will be lit in a ceremony airing on The Five.
The show begins at 5pm EST.
After the original tree was set ablaze, FOX News Media CEO Suzanne Scott told staff that the tree would be rebuilt as “a message that there can be peace, light, and joy even during a dark moment.”
“Earlier this morning, FOX News Media’s All-American Christmas tree outside our building on FOX Square was set on fire in a malicious arson attack,” she wrote in a company memo.

What happened to the previous Fox News tree?
A suspect who authorities identified as Craig Tamanaha allegedly set the tree alight.
Cops said the man allegedly climbed up the tree, lit papers that he brought with him, and pushed them into the tree.
He then climbed down and watched as the 50ft tree burned down.
The NYPD told the US Sun: “Upon arrival, officers observed the male running from the location and he was taken into custody.
