Mr Johnson said at Monday’s Downing Street press briefing that to continue on the roadmap, it is important people “follow the rules and remember hands, face, space and fresh air”.
For the time being, restaurants and other hospitality businesses are not open for people to dine-in on site.
However, restaurants are able to offer takeaway and delivery services at the current time.
In a matter of weeks, further lockdown measures could also be eased in England.
