Pontypridd bus station has been closed and the area cordoned off.

Express.co.uk has contacted South Wales Police for comment.

According to witness, Evan Hart, it was an “unexploded WW2 bomb” that was handed into Pontypridd police station reception.

On his Twitter account @evanhart88, he wrote: “Spoke to another officer, who said an unexploded WW2 bomb was handed into Pontypridd police station reception, which is why the area has been cordoned off, while they await bomb disposal to come and check it is safe.”
