Virat Kohli STEPS DOWN as India Test captain in the wake of their series loss to South Africa after seven years in charge… admitting he ‘can’t give 120 per cent’ to the team anymore


Virat Kohli has made the shock announcement that he is stepping down as India Test captain with immediate effect.

Kohli released a statement saying that after seven years in the role, ‘everything has to come to a halt at some stage and for me as Test captain of India, it’s now’.  

The 33-year-old is one of India’s biggest sports stars and the longest serving Indian Test captain ever, at 66 Test matches. He recently oversaw India’s 2-1 series defeat away against South Africa.
