Witnesses tell the officers that the woman jumped in and is “not moving,” the video shows.
“She just jumped in!” one cop is heard screaming at his fellow officers, who race over to help.
The officer takes off his gun belt and scrambles over the railing down to the rocks to grab the woman before she goes under.
The video jumps ahead a few seconds, where the cop who went to the other side is dragging the woman back up to the railing.
“We gotta get her up!” the officer screams.
He’s quickly joined by two other cops who lift her back to the railing, where firefighters pull her the rest of the way.
The woman was rushed to Mount Sinai West Hospital in critical but stable condition.
