US Postal Service chiefs have warned that its customers could see a price hike in the coming months.
Execs have put forward plans to hike the price of a first-class stamp.

The rise could come into force on July 13 and would see the cost of a stamp increase from 73 cents to 78 cents.
It would be the seventh price rise since 2020 if it comes into effect.
The proposal comes after Louis DeJoy, who recently stood down as Postmaster General, warned Americans that price hikes may be a possibility.
He admitted users may have to get “uncomfortable” about rises.
If the price hike comes into force, it would mark a 7.4% increase in the cost of a first class stamp.
In 2024, the price of first class stamps rose from 68 cents to 73 cents.
Just four years ago, the cost of a first class stamp was just 55 cents.
The hike in the cost of a first class stamp is not the only price rise being considered.
The cost of mailing domestic postcards could rise to 62 cents.
Currently, Americans must fork out $56 to mail a postcard within the US.
But, those wanting to send postcards internationally may have to pay $1.70.
Execs have warned that the proposed price rises are necessary in a bid to achieve stability.
“USPS prices remain among the most affordable in the world,” the agency claims.
