Ukrainian adult film star poses with troops who lost limbs in war to support vets

Ukrainian adult film star Yulia Seniuk has staged a glitzy charity calendar photoshoot with soldiers who have lost limbs fighting back Russia’s invading forces to raise money for rehabilitation and prosthetics for Kyiv’s injured warriors.

Seniuk, 28, who goes by Josephine Jackson on screen, announced the shoot on her Instagram on Friday, which saw her posing in chic gowns with veterans in an ornate Ukrainian theater.

The 12 soldiers that will feature in the calendar were decked out in suits and ties or tuxedoes, befitting the elegant setting.

All of the men were missing limbs, and no effort was made to hide their prosthetics or wheelchairs from the camera.

Seniuk said said the air of sophistication create was deliberate, in order to show the servicemen in a more dignified way than how they’re often shown in the media, in uniform or as patients receiving treatment.

“This transformation reveals them from a completely different side, showing what refined, elegant and handsome gentlemen they are,” she told Ukrainian news outlet Obozrevatel.

“It gives them more self-confidence and a sense of self-sufficiency. These are the emotions we should give them, not pity and tears,” she added.

The video on Seniuk’s Instagram and shared online gives a behind-the-scenes look at the photos being taken, with one touching clip showing her locking fingers with one of the soldier’s prosthetic hands.

The clip was showered with praise online, with viewers lauding her inspired approach to supporting the country’s military personnel, the outlet reported.

“Haters gonna hate, but she is great,” one said, with another adding: “This woman has done more than our MPs and politicians.

“Yulia, you are an amazing person,” they added.

Meanwhile, a third said: “Although it is a joyful video, it touched me to the heart. Our incredible, strongest defenders! Thank you for this project! Yulia did a great job!”

Ukraine set to mobilise thousands after facing ‘2 years of hell’ against Russia [LATEST]

It comes as the war reached its second anniversary last month, following Russian leader Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

Months of shelling has devastated cities across Ukraine, but Russian expectations that its neighbour would quickly fold proved woefully ill-founded, with Kyiv’s forces inflicting heavy losses on the Moscow’s invading army.

In its regular update on reported Russian losses on Tuesday, Ukraine’s Defense Ministry claimed Russia had lost 432,390 personnel, 6,819 tanks, 13,049 armored fighting vehicles, 14,191 vehicles and fuel tanks, 10,698 artillery systems, 1,017 multiple launch rocket systems, 721 air defense systems, 347 airplanes, 325 helicopters, 8,318 drones, 26 ships and boats, and one submarine since the conflict started.

Both countries closely protect their reported losses, which are difficult to independently verify.

The Kremlin is yet to comment on the claims, but has previously admitted Russia has sustained “significant losses” in Ukraine.
