A New York City man was shot by two armed gunman in the leg on a basketball court in an apparent targeted attack as gun violence continues to soar in the crime-plagued Big Apple.

The shocking footage, which was released Thursday, shows the pair firing several rounds from handguns while inside the fenced-in court at a Queens housing complex before fleeing.

The unidentified 22-year-old victim was taken to hospital in Jamaica in stable condition after the shooting at the Ocean Bay Houses in Edgemere at 4pm.

The motive for the shooting remains unknown, however, law enforcement sources said it appears the victim was specifically targeted by the gunmen.

One of the suspects is described as being 5-foot-6 and 140 pounds who was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, red sweatpants with a white stripe, a black mask and red and white sneakers.

The second man has a similarly thin build. He was last seen wearing a black and white hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants with white stripes, a black mask and sneakers.

The brazen attack comes as crime rose 46.5 percent in February, compared to the same time last year, according to the latest data from the New York Police Department.

Felony assaults are up 18 percent and shootings are up nearly 37 percent.

Transit crimes, including subway pushings, are up 60.8 percent from this time last year.

Earlier this month, mayor Eric Adams outlined his plans for tweaks to be made to the bail laws which allows suspects to roam the street often within hours of an arrest.

‘Let’s remove the cash bail system, because one should not be able to get out of jail just because you can pay bail. Let’s take that away. Judges should look at the case in front of them and say, “This person has two gun arrests, and he’s continually saying to the people of the city that I don’t care about the safety of you.” That judge should have the right to make the discretion that this person just be held.’

Many of New York City’s most violent crimes have been from repeat offenders and after Manhattan’s soft-on-crime District Attorney Alvin Bragg, 48, downgraded many crimes to misdemeanors.
