‘He’s had a lot of work done since we saw him last’: Tucker Carlson takes pot shot at Nancy Pelosi about her looking like plastic surgery fanatic Michael Jackson
- Tucker Carlson mocked House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s physical appearance on his show last night by comparing her to the late King of Pop — Michael Jackson
- ‘Let us be clear this was not a video of Michael Jackson performing his hit songs of the 1990s,’ he said referring to Pelosi’s interview on Face The Nation Sunday
- Carlson took aim at Pelosi after the House Speaker appeared on Face the Nation
- Pelosi on Sunday told the CBS show that Republicans are ‘attempting to undermine democracy’ by not backing Biden’s Build Back Better bill
Call it Nip and Tucker.
Snarky Fox News host Tucker Carlson had some mean-spirited fun at Nancy Pelosi’s expense after an appearance by the Democratic House Speaker on television, comparing her to the late King of Pop Michael Jackson by saying ‘he has had a lot of work done since we saw him last.’
Pelosi, 81, appeared on CBS’s Face the Nation on Sunday to push for President Joe Biden’s voting rights reforms, a bill Republicans have thrashed as a Democratic ploy to cement power.
Carlson took a jab at Pelosi, a wife and grandmother of nine children has been rumored to have plastic surgery, during his Monday prime time show.
‘Michael Jackson was on Face the Nation. Let us be clear this was not a video of Michael Jackson performing his hit songs of the 1990s,’ he said.
‘This appeared to be a living version of the international pop star that news reports claimed died of a drug overdose more than a dozen years ago.’
Jackson, a child prodigy who went on to superstardom with hits like Billie Jean and Thriller, died of a heart attack from prescription drugs at his Los Angeles mansion at age 50 in 2009.
That did not stop Carlson from sinking his teeth into the bit.

The Fox News host insisted the House speaker was actually the late pop star Michael Jackson, referring to her physical appearance, on Monday night
Democrat Nancy Pelosi was butt of quip by Fox host Tucker Carlson in which he said the House Speaker ‘had a lot of work done’ and compared her to the late King of Pop Michael Jackson
‘How can that be? Honestly, we have no idea. We are not theologians here, this is merely a news program. We can only show you what we saw.’
‘Despite those claims, there he was, fully undeniably Michael Jackson talking no television.’
Before showing Pelosi’s segment, Carlson warned his viewers that they would have been in ‘for the shock of their lives’ had they been watching television the day before.
Carlson also shared the comparison on his Twitter page, which has been liked more than 1 million times. He captioned the video: ‘Michael Jackson was spotted on live television over the weekend.’
Carlson’s comment on the Billie Jean singer having ‘had a lot of work done’ when he was alive suggested that the Fox News host was assuming that Pelosi has had several plastic surgery procedures similar to the ones Jackson experienced, something the speaker has denied in the past on multiple occasions.
In the clip, Carlson said: ‘Yesterday was Sunday and you may have found yourself on the couch ideally flipping around the TV dial. If you flipped far enough you could have had the shock of your life.’
Although it’s safe to say that he was speaking about Pelosi’s appearance, Carlson did not directly explain why he was comparing her to Jackson.
Carlson went on to play the video of Pelosi from the CBS News show, where she accused the Republicans of ‘attempting to undermine democracy.’
On her appearance on Sunday, Face the Nation host Margaret Brennan asked Pelosi about certain states changing their own election laws as well as advancement talks for President Joe Biden’s Build Back Better legislation.
Pelosi said: ‘Well, first, let’s get the bill passed. I think that the order of things is very appropriate. There is nothing more important for us to do than protect our constitution and our democracy.
‘What the Republicans are doing across the country is really a legislative continuation of what they did on January 6, which is to undermine our democracy, to undermine the integrity of our elections, to undermine the voting power, which is the essence of a democracy.’
Carlson rebuttal to Pelosi’s claims was that she was ‘telling lies about politics.’
‘See, Michael Jackson, that was him. No Billie Jean, apparently he has given up on singing and is telling lies about politics.
‘Same man, if you have ever seen Michael Jackson, you cannot forget the face though admittedly, he has had a lot of work done since we saw him last.’
