Thomas Tuchel ‘paid for his housekeeper’s son to have heart surgery and bought her a villa in the Philippines’ after admiring her ‘incredible work ethic’

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel bought his housekeeper a villa and paid for her son to have a heart operation during his time at Paris Saint-Germain. 

Tuchel spent two years at the helm of the Ligue 1 club – having joined Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund – and lived in the Hauts-de-Seine district of France’s capital city.  

Upon his arrival in France, Tuchel hired a Filipino housekeeper and opted to pay for the child’s hospital treatment when he heard that she was working overtime to fund the surgery.

According to Canal Sport, Tuchel made the decision to hire a housekeeper shortly after he arrived at the Parc Des Princes in May 2018. 

Tuchel was instantly impressed with his employees work ethic but later found out that she was working around the clock to fund a major heart operation for her son. 

Once Tuchel heard the news, he quickly reached into his own pocket to pay for the child’s hospital treatment.

It is believed the operation went will and the housekeeper’s son was able to make a full recovery.   

Tuchel, who was delighted with the news of her son’s recovery, also bought his housekeeper a villa after she discussed her life long goals with the manager. 

The housekeeper reportedly told the German manager that she had always wanted to buy a house in the Philippines.

She had dreamt to retiring there with her family one day, but worried she would be unable to afford it. 

Therefore, Tuchel made the decision to buy his housekeeper her very own property to ensure her dreams came true.
