Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid discussed the decision a primary school in Yorkshire has made to replace a number of historical figures with modern activists for the names of their school-houses. Mr Morgan told ITV’s Good Morning Britain that the “world has gone mad” in a bid to appease the woke culture.
Mr Morgan said: “A primary school in East Yorkshire has replaced its house names with ultra woke icons.
“Well. they are just popular young people, that is the best way to categorise them.
“They are sort of airbrushing history after a former pupil complained.
“The headteacher at the school said they were being removed because of their despicable deeds.”
Ms Reid stated: “Sir Walter Raleigh with footballer turn school meals campaigner Marcus Rashford.
“Sir Francis Drake for human rights activist Malala Yousafzai.
“And Lord Nelson has been replaced by campaigner Greta Thunberg.”
Mr Morgan added: “Wales has also stopped streets from being named after any public figure in case they may upset people in the future.
“Has the world gone nuts as I believe or should we be doing stuff to appease the wokeys?”
