Hollywood’s brightest stars tossed their tie-dye hoodies into the hamper and turned out for Sunday’s Academy Awards ceremony. On a red carpet Oscars producer Stacey Sher described as “teeny-tiny” due to the COVID-19 pandemic, celebrities stunned with their styles at Los Angeles’ Union Station.
Ahead of the show, ceremony organizers directed guests to wear ensembles that were “a fusion of Inspirational and Aspirational,” dubbing formal attire “totally cool if you want to go there,” and making it clear that “casual is really not.”
And the stars did not disappoint. Regina King, Vanessa Kirby and Zendaya snatched our breath away, just to name a few. And it wasn’t just women who brought the glam. The men also didn’t disappoint: “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom” star Colman Domingo was flashy in fuchsia, and “Judas and the Black Messiah” star Lakeith Stanfield looked effortlessly cool in a jumpsuit and sunglasses.
