A teen on a scooter and a 60-year-old man on a bicycle were badly hurt in separate collisions in Queens and the Bronx early Monday, police said.
The boy, 15, was rushed by medics to Elmhurst Hospital in critical condition with head injuries and the older victim was knocked unconscious and was taken to Lincoln Hospital, also in critical condition.
The teen was struck first, just before 12:45 a.m. when he collided with a private bus at 43rd St. and 19th Ave. in Astoria.
Less than three hours later, at 3:25 a.m. the older victim was struck by a Kia SUV at Third Ave. and E. 158th St., police said.
The drivers in both cases — a 44-year-old man driving the bus and a 58-year-old man driving the Kia — stayed at the scene. No charges have been filed in either incidents but police are still investigating.
