Suspected shooting in Bucks County prompts shelter-in-place, cancellation of St. Patrick’s Day parade

A suspected shooting in Pennsylvania’s Falls Township on Saturday morning triggered a shelter-in-place order for the area as well as the cancellation of the Bucks County St. Patrick’s Day parade.

The violence reportedly unfolded on Edgewood Lane and Viewpoint Lane. While authorities have not yet confirmed the number of victims, sources told Fox 29 that three people were fatally struck amid the morning chaos.

As of 11 a.m., the shooter, who was allegedly “armed with rifles,” was still at large. Police told Fox 29 they suspect the gunman carjacked a silver Honda CRV and fled the scene. Authorities also warned the shooter was likely still armed and dangerous.

“The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office and other law enforcement officials are assisting the Falls Township Police Department in an active police investigation and are urging residents in the township to shelter-in-place,” the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office said on X. “Report any suspicious activity to 911.”
