Susanna Reid, 50, and Ranvir Singh, 43, were stumped after spotting something in their Wednesday morning (31 March) Good Morning Britain script that seemed rather “mischievous”. On the show, Ranvir was set to be reunited with Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood after her stint on the BBC show last year, which saw her make it to the semi-finals alongside partner Giovanni Pernice. But she was left shocked to find an error in what he had said about her dancing, when she and Susanna read out the headlines.
As clips of Craig on Strictly appeared on-screen, Ravir read aloud: “Last time he was on he called me dreadful…” she paused before giggling.
“Thanks for making me read this out!” the presenter shook head.
As the cameras joined the two hosts in the studio, Ranvir wanted an explanation.
“Did he call me dreadful Susanna? Did he?” she quizzed, confused as to why the negative word had been inserted into their scripts.
“No he did not,” Susanna told her co-host.

She added: “I do not know who wrote that. That is very mischievous.”
“Because actually, I think what he said was, you were hard done by the Jive.
“But your ballroom dancing was a dream and your Jive was full of fun and verve.”
Ranvir nodded as she pressed for reassurance: “But you’re saying that, aren’t you? He never said that, did he?”
Susanna comforted her pal, telling her she was a “pure dream” on the show before they moved on.
They continued: “Susanna has proven herself a consummate broadcaster for the past ten years — and clearly has the star factor.
“She is smart, feisty and opinionated. She may have been Piers’ foil for the past five years, but she’s so much more than this — and now it’s very much a case of The Susanna Show.
“ITV have offered her their full backing, and she will have even more editorial say going forwards.”
It was suggested that Alex Beresford might take Piers’ place on the panel as producers are “keen” for him to make more regular appearances as GMB’s host.
The insider added: “Alex hasn’t formally applied for Piers’ job, but has made it quietly known he’s more than happy, and able, to step up as a presenter if and when he’s needed.”
And Peters is also in line for a bigger role, with the source branding him “popular” with viewers and has the “unenviable” task of making competitions sound interesting.
“He will be given more opportunities to step up too,” they confirmed.
But for now, GMB remains business as usual, with Susanna continuing to appear alongside regular hosts Ben Shephard and Alex, but bosses haven’t ruled out a long-term replacement to sit alongside her in the future.
