Following ITV’s announcement that Piers Morgan has quit Good Morning Britain following the backlash from comments on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, his co-star Susanna Reid has now been targeted by viewers who have labelled her “an enabler” and that her days on the show are “numbered”. News broke of the outspoken host’s departure after his heated discussion with weather presenter Alex Beresford on Tuesday’s show, which resulted in Piers storming off the set saying, “OK, I’m done with this.”
Taking to Twitter to share their views on the most talked about topic of the day, one user believed Alex had received his “karma” after he too walked out of the studio after Piers previously openly mocked him on-air.
They penned alongside a clip of the awkward moment: “#goodmorningbritain Alex finally got his karma. What an absolute hypocritical p***k you are @piersmorgan.”
Within the clip, Piers could be seen berating Alex before he walked out and called him a “little drama queen” as Susanna giggled alongside him.
She smiled as she chimed in: “You’re never like this with Laura, why are you so rude to Alex?”

“Because she’s not as annoying as he is,” Piers responded.
But the snippet saw many viewers take aim at Susanna for her attitude to Piers’ humiliation of their co-star, implying she is “complicit” in Piers’ current behaviour towards Meghan.
One wrote: “@susannareid100 enabling Morgan again? Shock!”
Another explained: “So many of us have experienced people like Susanna Reid. Those who will say they’re ‘on your side’ and join you in the office kitchen b******g about how terrible/racist someone is. But then giggle and laugh beside them as they gaslight and berate you for ‘banter’.”
“Why is this show so chaotic…. they literally enabled that old man’s bullying obsessive behaviour,” a seventh snapped.
Meanwhile someone else said: “Susanna on the day he falls, you’ll be going down with him.”
But others believed the 50-year-old more than challenged outspoken Piers.
“I don’t agree that Susanna should leave too just because Piers has,” one said.
