Daily Mail Australia can reveal the shocking racist messages sent to Gold Coast Suns star Mabior Chol following his side’s upset win over Carlton on Sunday.
Chol moved to the Suns this season after being part of the Richmond squad that claimed AFL flags in 2017, 2019 and 2020.
The ruck/forward played a key role in his side’s 13.14 (92) to 8.14 (62) win over Carlton at Metricon Stadium, but after the game he was privately messaged on Instagram with a horrific string of racial remarks.
The profile has since been removed or deleted by Instagram and the post included a torrent of abuse aimed at Chol including calling him a ‘f***ing dog monkey’.

The message also included the phrase ‘blood diamond’ and a series of diamond emojis, referencing South Sudan – his place of birth.
Blood diamonds are mined in war zones in Africa and sold to finance an insurgency, an invading force, or a warlord.
Oddly, the message concluded by saying ‘good game but’.

The message was shared through social media and AFL fans were quick to condemn the racist comments and throw their support behind Chol.
‘This behaviour needs to be stamped out. Racism has no place anywhere in Aus,’ one fan posted on Reddit.
‘I am a Carlton supporter from Canberra who saw yesterday’s game. Chol’s marking and enthusiasm was a highlight and I am so sorry for any racist remarks,’ posted another on Twitter.
‘Well done Suns, and great game played by Mabior Chol yesterday. Keep calling this crap out!’ Tweeted another.

‘We detest racism in every form. Regardless as to whether it’s a public post or a private message, we call it out for what it is – disgraceful. Stamp out racism. Challenge Accepted.’
