After a long, wet winter moss can develop on driveways, patios and pathways. Moss can be removed using chemicals but this can have an impact on the surrounding environment. Instead, homeowners can resort to more natural methods such as soda crystals.

In a video for Dri Pak, homeowners have been shown how to remove moss using soda crystals.

Homeowners will need a 1.5kg bag of soda crystals or more depending on the size of the space.

Firstly, homeowners need to liberally sprinkle the soda crystals on the area.

Once the moss is brown, the moss can be removed.

Homeowners can do the with a stiff yard brush or a shovel.

Once the moss is removed, the rest of the soda crystals can be washed away.

Any remaining debris can be removed with the stiff brush.
