Do not add salt to cold water
Often it is in part of a recipe to season your cooking water, to flavour your food.
Adding too much water can leave white marks on the bottom of your pan which is called salt pitting.
However, if you wait until the water is boiling, the salt dissolves right away.
Do not use an abrasive scrubber
You should never use a stainless steel scrubber on your pan as it will likely damage the finish.
Instead, you should use sponges or a more gentle exfoliant cleaner.
