Speaking to Latest Deals, Jordan Collins, 31, from Cheltenham, explained how she wanted to makeover her daughter Amaya’s bedroom for her 10th birthday.

I transformed cheap plastic pot into fancy stone planter in minutes & saved £100

“I had looked around and found panels in packs of six from Homebase for £11.95.

“I used three packs for her bedroom across two walls.”

To begin with, Jordan measured each wall and cut the panels so they fit on top of the skirting boards.

She continued: “I then placed the panels along the edge of walls vertically and measured the space between each and worked out how many panels I’d need along with spaces between.

“I took away the number of panels by their dimensions to give me the right measurements between spaces.”

To secure them into place, Jordan used No Nails glue and ensured they were perfectly straight with her spirit level.

She added: “Once dry I painted them Natural Sage by Johnstones. I had painted the other walls brilliant white before starting my panelling project.

In total, the project set Jordan back £51 and she finished it all off with soft furnishings from B&M, Shein and IKEA.

Unsurprisingly, she’s delighted with how well it turned out.
