Saquon Barkley fires back at Tiki Barber for saying he’s ‘dead to me:’ ‘Don’t smile in my face when you see me’

Tiki Barber blasted Saquon Barkley on Monday for signing with the Philadelphia Eagles, but Barkley wasn’t in the mood for his slander.

“He’s dead to us now. You’re dead to us, Saquon,” Barber, the former Giants running back, said of Barkley on WFAN. “Good luck, you’re dead to me.”

Barkley then fired back on X, accusing Barber of being a company man for the team. Barber played for only one team, the Giants, in his NFL career from 1997-06.

“@TikiBarber Lol yup you’re the prime example of loyalty to a team,” Barkley tweeted at the radio host. “I got the deal I wanted, secured more [guaranteed money] which wasn’t given to me before… so if fans are gonna hate me for that so be it! But I never turned my back on my teammates and always had theirs.”

Barkley came back with a second post aimed at Barber, as well.

“You been a hater since I got to New York,” he said. “And all the ‘Dead to me’ talk don’t smile in my face when you see me.”

Barkley called Barber a “hater” because he criticized him for poor pass blocking early in his career. Eventually, Barber reversed course and supported Barkley through the back half of his six years with the franchise.

Maybe that was in the name of the team, rather than the player.

Now Barkley is an Eagle, which ratchets up the rivalry another level and, in the running back’s opinion, is already showing people’s true colors.
