Sandi Toksvig weight loss: How did the former GBBO presenter lose four stone?

Sandi Toksvig left the Great British Bake Off in January 2020, much to fans of the show’s dismay. “As my waistline will testify, Bake Off is an all-consuming show,” tweeted Sandi at the time. But the former presenter has lost a lot of weight in recent years.

On her plan, Louise also recommends exercising every day.

She advises taking 10,000 steps, as well as doing a 15-minute home workout.

Walking is a good way to implement exercise into your daily routine, especially if you are a beginner and do not yet want to do any high intensity activities.

Even dancing in your bedroom is extremely beneficial, as it is an activity that burns a lot of calories and can help with weight loss, according to Healthline.

Louise advises eating three meals and two snacks a day, each one a combination of food groups.

Foods high in protein but low in carbs are good for lunch or dinner, such as a meal of eggs, chicken breast, and plenty of vegetables.

Nuts and oatcakes can be eaten as snacks, especially since they are high in fibre but low in carbs.

In her plan, Louise also mentions the importance of getting enough sleep (seven hours is sufficient) and cutting alcohol from your diet.

Sandi said in 2019 that she had tried “every diet” out there, but then saw an advertisement for the Louise Parker plan in an airline magazine.

She spoke about how, as well as helping her to slim down, Louise has aided her with her fitness.

Sandi explained: “When I first started, I couldn’t touch my knees. Now I can run 5K no problem.”

The writer and comedian has been walking regularly during lockdown to keep fit, and often takes her dog Mildred with her.
