Russian saboteurs destroy ammo depot in massive cross border assault from Ukraine

A dramatic video has been released that purportedly shows the moment saboteurs blew up an ammo depot in Russia during a massive cross-border assault that had been launched from Ukraine.

Groups of rebels who are determined to bring down Vladimir Putin’s regime have launched multiple raids and attacks on Russian soil in recent weeks.

One such rebel group, the Freedom of Russia Legion (FRL), has now released a video that it says shows a successful attack on a Russian Armed Forces’ ammunition warehouse in the village of Tyotkino.

“Engulfed in flames… [We] decimated Putin’s army’s ammunition depot in Tyotkino. Stay tuned for more,” read a caption accompanying the video. The footage shows artillery operated by the Russian volunteers taking out a single-story building.

While the claims are yet to be independently verified, an Armed Forces of Ukraine officer told the Kyiv Post the video looked legitimate.

The officer highlighted how the initial explosion threw other munitions and smaller explosive components out, which also then exploded.

This would appear consistent with claims the building was an ammunition depot. It comes after Russian volunteer forces loyal to Kyiv had claimed to have destroyed two other Russian ammunition warehouses in Tyotkino, which is in the Kurst Oblast.

However, last week the same rebel group claimed it had taken control of the village. At the time, Russia refuted the claims.

The Freedom of Russia Legion (FRL), Siberian Battalion (SB) and the Russian Volunteer Corps (RDK) posted videos, which they claimed showed them fighting with soldiers in the Belgorod and Kursk regions. The footage appeared to show Russian forces retreating.

In one post on Telegram, FLR said: “We will take our land from the regime centimetre by centimetre”. The comment came following their incursion this morning.

However, the Russian security agency, the FSB, said: “Information is being spread on social networks about the alleged entry of Ukrainian armed formations into some border settlements of the Belgorod and Kursk regions. The published information is not true.”
