Russia on the brink as Ukraine annihilates 1,000 of Vladimir Putin's soldiers in one day

Ukraine has dealt a severe blow to Russian forces, claiming the lives of over a thousand soldiers in a single day of intense combat.

The devastating losses mark a significant setback for Vladimir Putin’s military campaign in Ukraine, pushing Russia to the brink of further crisis.

The latest casualties bring the total number of Russian soldiers killed or wounded in the ongoing conflict to a staggering 439,190, according to updated figures released by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

They wrote on Facebook: “Beat the occupier! Together we will win! Our strength is in the truth! / Strike the occupier! Let’s win together Our strength is in the truth!”

The relentless assault by Ukrainian forces has inflicted heavy damage on Russia’s military capabilities, with significant losses across various fronts.

The toll on Russia’s military machinery is staggering, with the latest statistics revealing the extent of the losses incurred since the conflict erupted on February 24, 2022.

On top of losing 1,030 troops on March 27, Russia’s military equipment also took significant blows.

Ukraine decimated 41 vehicles and tankers, 27 artillery systems, and 25 strategic and tactical unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) also just on that single day.

In terms of vehicle damage, Ukraine inflicted 11 losses on Russia’s tanks, nine on their armoured combat vehicles, and took a further five special vehicles and other equipment.

This is the latest in a series of significant blows for Putin’s military, as Ukrainian forces have also been heavily attacking the navy in recent weeks.

Over the weekend, reports surfaced of three Russian ships in the Black Sea ships being hit in missile strikes. The warships, the Yamal, the Azov, and the Konstantin Olshansky are no longer in operation following the attacks.

Ukraine is also utilising seaborne drones, which it is said to be improving its stock of to make them more powerful.

Currently, its forces still manage to control several hundred kilometres of Black Sea coastline, despite not having any large warships.
