Bayern Munich stars are reportedly bracing themselves for Robert Lewandowski’s departure – having grown tired of his public posturing to force a move away from the club.
Lewandowski, 33, has confirmed his intention to leave Bayern this summer after eight years in Munich, with Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea all vying for his signature.
‘My story with Bayern has come to an end, I cannot imagine further good cooperation,’ he recently said. ‘I hope they will not stop me (from leaving) just because they can. A transfer is the best solution for everyone.’

Lewandowski still has a year to run on his current Bayern deal, meaning the German champions still hold the aces when it comes to his immediate future.
Though according to The Athletic, his team-mates at the Allianz Arena expect him to be granted his desired move away before the summer transfer window draws to a close.
It is believed Lewandowski’s Bayern team-mates are tired of seeing him agitate for a move, as well as revert to an egotistical streak on the pitch.
They are therefore anticipating the Poland striker, who scored 50 goals in all competitions last season, to depart Julian Nagelsmann’s side over the next few months.

German outlet Bild, via Sport, claim Lewandowski is keen to join Barcelona this summer after he was overheard having an animated telephone conversation in the Bayern dressing room.
The conversation was reportedly carried out in Polish, but his team-mates were able to pick out the word ‘Barcelona’ as well as his clear frustration with trying to negotiate his exit.
Yet while his preference is understood to be a move to Catalonia, the Spanish club’s dire financial situation could prevent them from meeting Bayern’s asking price this summer.
PSG are also eyeing a potential move for Lewandowski, while Thomas Tuchel has pinpointed him as a target for Chelsea, who are on the hunt for a new centre-forward ahead of Romelu Lukaku’s return to Inter Milan.
Despite the player’s determination to leave, Bayern chief executive Oliver Kahn says he expects Lewandowski to see out the final year of his contract in Munich.

They are also said to have overheard him expressing his desire to sign for Xavi’s Barcelona
Speaking at the unveiling of Sadio Mane, who has joined them from Liverpool, he said: ‘Lewandowski has a contract until 2023 and we expect to see him on the first day of pre-season.
‘The situation hasn’t changed. Robert has a contract with us for another year and we’re happy when he joins us for the first day of training.’
Should Lewandowski depart, the onus will fall on Mane to become Bayern’s new talisman in the 2022/23 campaign.
The Senegal international arrives with a solid record under his belt, having reached the 20-goal mark in four of his six seasons with Liverpool.
