More than 15 million people have now had at least one jab, providing 60 to 75 percent immunity. Testing has gathered steam as well, with authorities rolling out enhanced sites to trace new variants.

Officials have fine-tuned testing compared to the beginning of the pandemic.

Labs conduct more than 500,000 tests per day, and in total, have now processed nearly 81 million, according to data from Gov.uk.

With surge testing now in place for several regions, people may wonder how to report the results.

From there, they disclose a range of details, including who received the test, why, where they live and more.

Depending on the result, people may need to self-isolate with their household.

Anyone who has tested positive must isolate immediately, whether they have symptoms or not.

Full isolation lasts for ten days, which includes the day someone has taken the test.
