Steven Gerrard was shown two yellow cards in the space of a minute after launching an x-rated rant at referee John Beaton with cameras picking up what the Rangers boss said. Rangers were frustrated in the first half of their league fixture against Livingston.
Alfredo Morelos had Rangers’ best chance of the half when he was through in on goal.
Livingston goalkeeper Max Stryjek rushed out of goal to close down Morelos before seemingly taking the Rangers striker down.
The Colombian appealed for a penalty but Beaton brandished a yellow card for Morelos for diving.
Gerrard was incensed on the touchline and was unable to hide his anger at half-time as he approached the match official for comment.
And the Rangers boss could be heard swearing at the official as he gestured angrily about the penalty incident.
“So you’re not speaking to me?” Gerrard said.
“I know why you’re not speaking to me… You’re bang out of order.”
Beaton pulled out a yellow card after Gerrard’s initial reaction but the Rangers boss continued to his angry tirade as he walked towards the tunnel.
