Prince William and Harry’s relationship at an ‘all-time low,’ says royal expert

The long-standing cold war between Prince Harry and older brother William has not improved, even amid the cancer battles of both King Charles and Kate Middleton.

Just as the 2022 death of Queen Elizabeth II failed to mend fences between the estranged brothers, neither the health of the monarch nor the Princess of Wales has repaired their fractured relationship.

Rather, the bond between William, 41, and Harry, 39, has hit “at an all-time low,” royal expert Katie Nicholl told Entertainment Tonight.

In addition to the tensions that preceded the Duke of Sussex’s departure from senior royal duties in early 2020, alongside wife Meghan Markle, the publication of his memoir, “Spare,” seemed to have only exacerbated the situation.

The book, which hit shelves in January 2023, shined a salacious spotlight on plenty of the royal family’s alleged dirty laundry, including a physical altercation he claimed occurred between himself and William.

“There is no reconciliation expected anytime soon,” an insider told ET in November, referring to the “Spare” fallout.

Pointing to “no real trust” between the heirs, which the source said “needs to be rebuilt,” the source noted: “There’s a great deal of hurt on both sides.”

Royal journalist Omid Scobie offered more dire sentiments to People in November, saying there’s “no going back” for the brothers.

Less than a year into wearing the crown, King Charles was hospitalized in January for an enlarged prostate and shortly after announced he’d been diagnosed with an unrelated form of cancer.

Middleton, meanwhile, announced in March that she too was undergoing cancer treatment — overlapping with her own hospitalization for abdominal surgery.

While in his native England last month, Harry invited Charles, William and Kate to a service for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games he founded — only to be snubbed by the trio’s collective absence.

Though he visited his ailing father just after the king’s diagnosis was made public, father and son did not see each other during Harry’s May trip to London, reportedly due to Charles’ busy schedule.
