The GB News presenter yesterday told how he is thinking about returning to frontline politics as he lashed out at Boris Johnson over the migrant crisis. Mr Farage’s announcement prompted Express.co.uk readers to urge him to provide a party that voters looking to abandon the Conservatives can get behind.

Commenting on this website, one reader with the username leader said: “Yeah he’d get my vote, come back Farage.”

Another, called bobstaff, wrote: “Please come back Nigel, we need you more then ever.”

A third with the username bongle commented: “Please come back Nigel!

“I live in the Banbury constituency and desperately want someone other than the leftie Tories to vote for.

“I had to vote for them at the last election to avoid Labour and Jo Swinson running the place. No other choice!”

Another reader, Mikee20 said: “Come on Nigel now we have seen the disaster the Tories have made of it and Labour have no policies you would walk it.”

A fifth, EASTendguy, added: “Yes please Nigel – come back ASAP. Enough of bumbling buffoon Boris.”

“I would vote for Farage in a heartbeat. Labour and Torys need wiping out.”

The former UKIP leader announced on Monday that he is plotting a potential comeback to put pressure on Mr Johnson.

Writing in the Telegraph, Mr Farage said: “Over the last few weeks, I have been approached by several high-ranking donors asking me if I am considering getting back into the political arena.

“My gut instinct is not to do so, but I will have to give it some serious thought.”

The former MEP stepped back from the Brexit Party earlier this year and was replaced by Richard Tice.

Mr Farage currently presents a primetime show GB News.
